Vadodara: A crocodile killed an elderly man who had entered the Orsang river to catch fish in Paragam village of Dabhoi taluka on Saturday evening.The victim, identified as Bajharia Nayak, was fishing in the river when a crocodile suddenly lunged out of the water and grabbed him. Despite his cries for help, the reptile dragged him into deeper waters before anyone could rescue him.After a search, Nayak’s body was found floating in the river. A local resident retrieved the body from the water and informed the forest department about the incident. The Orsang river is home to several crocodiles, and similar attacks have been reported from the area in the past.
