Times News NetworkKanpur: Additional district and sessions judge, Kanpur Nagar, Sapna Tripathi on Saturday dismissed the discharge application of accused Akhilesh Dubey, Ayush Mishra alias Lavi Mishra and Shailendra Kumar who were charged under sections (308 (2),308 (5), 308 (7), 351 (3) 231,61c (2) of BNS) and fixed July 14 for framing of charges.The accused were arrested on the FIR lodged by one Ravi Satija at Barra police station on August 6, 2025 against Akhilesh Dubey, Lavi Mishra, Shailendra Yadav, Abhishek Bajpai, Vimal Yadav and the two women who had accused him of rape.He alleged that Akhilesh Yadav and his associates had falsely implicated him in a rape and Pocso Act case involving a minor and demanded Rs 50 lakh for withdrawing the case. He said that he had paid Rs 5 lakh to Dubey and smaller amounts to his other associates.After the investigation when the allegations were found to be false, the police filed three separate chargesheets in this case.Police arrested Dubey and Lavi Mishra in August this year. Several police officers were suspended or dismissed for colluding with Dubey’s syndicate. The police have filed three separate chargesheets.The accused filed a discharge application stating that the charges levelled against them were wrong and they had been arrested wrongly.The judge in her order observed that on the basis of the evidence and material provided by the accused in their discharge application, the court did not find it to be admitted and hence the application was being dismissed.The judge ordered to put the file before her on July 14 for framing charges against the accused.According to Pradeep Kumar Sahu, assistant district government counsel, complainant Ravi Satija had also moved an application to seek the treatment record of accused Akhilesh Dubey at UHM hospital which the court allowed.
