Bokaro: Members of the Santhal community Tikahara panchayat under Gomia block of the district on Saturday announced to gherao the office of Bermo sub-divisional officer (SDO) on July 13 to demand swift police action in the death of three youth from Malwadih village on June 4.Bablu Soren, 21, Baburam Murmu, 19, and Deepak Soren, 18, were found dead near the railway tracks close to Radha village, 9 km from Bokaro railway station. Community members alleged that the three were killed and accused the district administration and Government Railway Police of trying to brush the case under the carpet.Family members of the deceased claimed the three left their homes on the night of June 3 after getting phone calls from a woman and did not return to their homes. They claimed that the phone number was also shared with the police, but no action was taken.Amarendra Kotwari, sub-inspector of GRP Bokaro, said, “Earlier, an FIR against unidentified persons was registered for probe. Now, the case has been to the Crime Investigation Department (CID).”
