Prayagraj: The UP Board has released the detailed schedule for online determination of examination centres for the 2027 Class X and XII board examinations. The process, aimed at ensuring transparency, fairness and copy-free examinations, will be conducted between July 20 and Sept 18 in accordance with govt order issued by state govt on July 1, 2026.Board secretary Bhagwati Singh said the online system was introduced to safeguard the sanctity, credibility and quality of board examinations while ensuring proper law and order arrangements during the exam period.Under the schedule, principals of eligible schools must upload details related to infrastructure and other required facilities on the board’s official website by July 20. The information will be physically verified by tehsil-level committees constituted by district magistrates, with the verification process to be completed by Aug 3.Verified reports and committee recommendations will be uploaded through the offices of District Inspectors of Schools (DIOS) by Aug 10. Based on the authenticated data, the board will publish a provisional list of examination centres along with school-wise student allocation on Aug 17 for scrutiny by district-level centre determination committees headed by district magistrates.The board will also display the list of debarred, disaffiliated and ineligible schools on the DIOS portal on Aug 18.The DIOS will invite objections and suggestions from students, parents, principals and school managements regarding the proposed centres between Aug 22 and Sept 1. After examining the representations, the DIOS will forward justified recommendations approved by the district-level committee to the board.A revised list of examination centres and student allocation will be uploaded on Sept 4. Stakeholders may submit fresh online objections till Sept 10 on issues such as excessive distance of allotted centres or student allocation beyond prescribed capacity.“The board will examine all final objections before publishing the final list of examination centres along with student allocation on Sept 18,” Singh said.Board officials said the entire exercise has been scheduled in a time-bound manner to ensure that examination centres for the 2027 board exams are selected strictly according to prescribed norms through a transparent online process.
