Patna: Welcoming the state cabinet’s decision to allocate five acres of government land each for five new Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs), education minister Mithilesh Tiwari on Wednesday said the initiative would strengthen educational infrastructure and improve access to quality school education across Bihar.Tiwari said the new KVs would be established at Madhubani in East Purnia, Pilkhi in Rajgir, Nimi in Sheikhpura, Sahugarh in Madhepura and Satiharpur in Rajnagar block of Madhubani district.The decision was approved at a cabinet meeting chaired by chief minister Samrat Choudhary on Wednesday, paving the way for the establishment of the centrally run schools in different parts of the state.Describing the move as a major boost to the education sector, Tiwari said the new schools would provide students with modern educational facilities, quality teaching and a competitive academic environment. He added that the institutions would benefit thousands of students across north and south Bihar and reduce the need for families to travel long distances in search of quality education.The minister said the expansion of the Kendriya Vidyalaya network would enhance educational opportunities for students and increase the availability of centrally administered schools in the state. The new schools are expected to offer greater access to quality education and provide more options for students seeking admission to the KV system.
