Kisan Pathshala Programme in Uttar Pradesh is a farmer education and training initiative launched by the state government to impart practical knowledge on modern farming techniques, government schemes, natural and scientific agriculture, soil health management, crop protection, water conservation, and market linkages.Organised at the grassroots level in Krishi Vigyan Kendras, PACS, gram panchayats, and progressive farmers’ fields, it follows the theme ‘Kheti Ki Baat Khet Par’. The programme runs in seasonal editions (e.g., Kisan Pathshala 8.0 Rabi 2025-26), training farmers directly on innovations from agricultural universities and research institutions. Its core objective is to enhance productivity, reduce input costs, promote sustainable practices, and help achieve the goal of doubling (or tripling) farmers’ income through skill-building and self-reliance.Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in the last 9 years has driven Kisan Pathshala as a key pillar of his Kisan Kalyan vision to transform Uttar Pradesh into a model of progressive, resilient, and prosperous agriculture. He has emphasised direct field-level training, soil health as the foundation of ecosystem sustainability, natural farming aligned with national goals, and technology-driven low-cost models.
