Hanumakonda: Two persons were killed in a road accident that occurred on the outskirts of Uppal village under Kamalapur police station limits on Sunday morning. The deceased were identified as K Srinivas, a resident of Lakshmipur village in Karimnagar district and T Bhargav, a resident of Peddapalli district.According to Kamalapur inspector P Naveen, K Srinivas, Bhargav, and four others had returned by flight from Assam to Hyderabad on Saturday night. After arriving at the airport, they started their journey by car from Hyderabad to Kamalapur. When they reached Uppal village, the car lost control, hit a divider, and rammed into a roadside house. At the time of the accident, no one was inside the residence.Srinivas died on the spot, while Bhargav sustained severe injuries. Locals immediately informed the police. Upon learning about the information, Kamalapur police rushed to the spot and shifted the injured Bhargav to Huzurabad govt hospital for treatment. Bhargav succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment. A case has been registered and an investigation is underway, said Naveen.
