Srinagar, June 26: PDP president Mehbooba Mufti paid tributes to Hazrat Imam Hussain (A.S.) and his companions on the occasion of Muharram, describing their sacrifice at Karbala as an enduring symbol of truth, justice, dignity and resistance against tyranny.
In a post on X, Mehbooba Mufti wrote, “On this solemn occasion of Muharram, I pay tribute to Imam Hussain (A.S.) and his noble companions, whose unparalleled sacrifice at Karbala remains an eternal beacon of truth, justice, dignity, and resistance against tyranny. Their message reminds humanity that silence in the face of injustice is a betrayal of our moral conscience.”
“As people across the world continue to endure oppression, the spirit of Karbala inspires hope, resilience, and the courage to stand for what is right. Many see this same spirit reflected in Iran’s resolve during its recent conflict with the United States and Israel,”the post reads.
