Gurgaon: A woman died and four members of her family were injured after the car they were travelling in rammed a parked trailer on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway in Nuh on Thursday.No complaint has been filed in the matter yet, an officer said.The accident took place near Kheda Khalilpur village under the jurisdiction of the Rojka Meo police station. The deceased, Anjana Verma (40), was a resident of Jharkhand.Anjana, her husband Sunil, their sons Priyanshu and Ayush, and a nephew had driven from Jharkhand to visit the Khatu Shyam temple and were going back on the same day. The accident took place while they were returning.According to the preliminary police probe, Sunil, who was driving, may have lost control of the car and crashed into the trailer.The collision left the car badly damaged. Anjana died on the spot due to the impact, while the other occupants of the car suffered injuries. They were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, where they are undergoing treatment.Investigators are probing why a trailer was parked on the expressway. Anjana’s body has been sent for post-mortem examination.An officer said police are examining the circumstances that led to the crash. “The matter is being investigated, and further legal action will be taken based on whether a complaint is lodged,” the officer added.
