BENGALURU: A city court Thursday sent techie M Shwetha , 24, charged with murdering her parents and sister with her boyfriend, to seven-day police custody. She was arrested from Puducherry Wednesday. Police are yet to trace Kenneth J, Shwetha’s live-in partner. The two fled the city late Monday night after stabbing Shwetha’s parents, Somasundar, Muthhulakshmi and younger sister Supriya to death in their flat at Seegehalli in KR Pura. CCTV images showed the duo escaping on a two-wheeler, which broke down near Tiruvannamalai in Tamil Nadu, around 210km from the city. From there, they split and Shwetha, boarding a bus, reached Puducherry.Meanwhile, Shwetha told cops she initially stabbed her mother to death inside the locked room of her flat following a heated argument. Kenneth could not intervene as the room was locked.Later, Kenneth helped her in shifting the body to the bathroom, Shwetha told cops.“Further, Shwetha claims she attacked her father and sister when they entered the house a little later and discovered Muthulakshmi’s body in the bathroom. There were marks on the floor indicating that something was dragged to the bathroom. When Somasundar force-entered the bathroom, he saw his wife’s body. It was then Shwetha attacked Somasundar and Supriya,” an investigating officer quoted Shwetha’s version of events. However, police said they need to cross-check her statements as she keeps changing them. “We will get a clear picture once we trace Kenneth,” an officer said.
