Mangaluru: The Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) authorities have stated that drinking water supplied within the city limits is treated at water purification plants before distribution to households.In a release, the MCC authorities stated that water quality is monitored regularly across all wards, and that treated water is supplied only after undergoing the required quality checks. Purified drinking water continues to be supplied to all wards under its jurisdiction. Residents facing any issues related to water supply may contact the MCC’s helpline at 0824-2220303.The city corporation has repaired a leakage in a water supply pipeline at Bhattagudde, after residents complained of contaminated drinking water in parts of the area. Complaints were received from residents of Ward No. 31 regarding the supply of polluted water to some households. Following this, MCC officials conducted an inspection and identified a leak in the water supply pipeline. The defect was rectified immediately, the release added.
