Chandigarh: Haryana will introduce mechanised cleaning and sanitation services in the district hospitals of Gurgaon, Jind and Kurukshetra under the public-private partnership (PPP) mode, with an annual outlay of about Rs 3-3.5 crore.Additional chief secretary (health and family welfare) Sumita Misra said the initiative aims to improve cleanliness standards and provide a safer environment in government hospitals.Misra also asked officials to put in place a monitoring mechanism and ensure round-the-clock supervision of housekeeping services.She said the initiative was part of the state’s efforts to modernise public hospitals and improve service quality and patient safety.
