Times News NetworkKanpur: Special judge Pocso Act /additional sessions judge Rashmi Singh on Saturday sentenced a man to 15 years of rigorous imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 42,000 for enticing, kidnapping and physically exploiting a minor girl.According to special prosecutor Bhawana Gupta, the victim’s mother stated in her complaint that her minor daughter, who was studying in class 10, disappeared on March 6, 2019. When she failed to track her daughter, she went to Kalyanpur police station to lodge an FIR.On April 4 ,2019, she received a call from her daughter on her mobile. The girl, who was crying, stated that the accused had enticed her, and the phone was disconnected thereafter. When she tried to contact the number again, the phone had been switched off.On April 6, 2019, the mother again received a call from one Noor Alam who threatened her that he was a brother of accused, and would kill her daughter if she lodged an FIR in this case because accused had married her. The police later lodged an FIR in this connection and recovered the girl after about six months from Roshan Nagar locality. The police then sent the girl to Nari Niketan (Women Shelter Home).
