Bhubaneswar: The state govt on Saturday cleared industrial investment proposals worth Rs 3,793 crore for a total of 24 projects in 14 districts, expecting to generate nearly 20,000 jobs, officials said.The approvals were granted by the State-level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA), chaired by chief secretary Anu Garg. The projects, with a cumulative investment of Rs 3,793.33 crore, are projected to create 19,924 employment opportunities, reinforcing the state’s focus on job-led industrial growth.The proposals span a wide range of sectors, including steel and metal downstream, renewable energy, advanced materials, electronics and EV components, textiles, tourism, logistics, food processing and consumer products. The projects will come up across Khurda, Dhenkanal, Jharsuguda, Koraput, Jajpur, Sambalpur, Keonjhar, Balangir, Puri, Cuttack, Sundargarh, Ganjam, Jagatsinghpur and Mayurbhanj.In clean energy and advanced manufacturing, CESC Green Power will set up a battery energy storage system unit in Dhenkanal with an investment of Rs 683.83 crore, creating 153 jobs. A lab-grown diamond facility will be established by AVP Star Pvt Ltd in Khurda with an investment of Rs 500 crore, generating 500 jobs, the govt said.Nandraj Textiles will set up an apparel unit in Khurda with an investment of Rs 168.64 crore, creating over 10,300 jobs, the highest among approved projects. Other key proposals include a garments unit in Sambalpur with an investment of Rs 145.5 crore and an integrated textile park in Ganjam with Rs 170 crore.The tourism and hospitality sector saw multiple approvals, including premium resorts and hotels in Koraput, Puri, Keonjhar, Sundargarh and Mayurbhanj, with investments ranging from Rs 52 crore to Rs 250 crore. Swosti Premium will establish a five-star resort in Koraput with an investment of Rs 250 crore.In the metal and manufacturing segment, JSW Severfields Structures will set up a steel fabrication unit in Jajpur for Rs 215 crore, generating 1,400 jobs; while Koshal Ceramics will expand its Jharsuguda plant with Rs 275 crore investment.Other approvals include a Coca-Cola expansion in Khurda for Rs 300 crore, generating 990 jobs; EV and battery manufacturing, logistics parks and food processing units.
