Jaipur: The University of Rajasthan will investigate the recruitment of more than 240 assistant professors in 2013, officials said Wednesday.Vice-chancellor Prof Alpana Kateja, while speaking to the media, said that an inquiry committee was formed to investigate the personnel involved.“To investigate the recruitments that were done in 2013, the chancellor of the university constituted a committee headed by Prof BP Saraswat. After this committee submitted its report, the then vice-chancellor of the University of Rajasthan, who holds a different post at present, was removed. And we received a letter from the Governor to identify those staff involved in the process and submit a report,” said the vice-chancellor.On Wednesday, a special syndicate body meeting of the university was held, during which Prof Pawan Sharma, vice-chancellor of Jai Narain Vyas University, Jodhpur (JNVU), was appointed as a member of the Vice-Chancellor Search Committee.
