IndusInd Bank on Wednesday said it has not received any communication from the government or regulatory authorities regarding an alleged fresh whistleblower complaint, after a media report triggered a decline in its share price.
“In this regard, we wish to clarify that the Bank has not received the communication from any government or regulatory authority, as referred to in the aforesaid news item, regarding receipt of the captioned whistleblower complaint by them,” IndusInd said in its exchange filing.
The bank further stated that all concerns referred to in the report had already been examined in the past and that appropriate actions were taken in accordance with its internal policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
According to the filing, the lender has proactively reported certain matters to relevant authorities and continues to extend full cooperation in line with its regulatory obligations. The bank added that it has consistently followed established governance and oversight processes while addressing such issues.
IndusInd Bank cautioned against drawing conclusions from “unverified allegations,” saying such claims may not present a complete or accurate picture of the matter.
