Bhubaneswar: Maximum temperature hovered around 45°C in five towns on Sunday as heatwave continued to affect western Odisha. Titlagarh at 45.8°C was the hottest place in the state, followed by Boudh (45.6°C), Bhawanipatna (45.4°C), Sambalpur (45.3°C) and Sonepur (45.2°C). The maximum temperature stood between 40 and 44°C at 15 places. Bhubaneswar recorded a maximum temperature of 38.4°C. India Meteorological Department said the heatwave, along with warm nights, and hot and humid conditions, would continue in some districts at least till May 28, besides forecasting thunderstorm at some pockets.
