Mangaluru: A police constable from Urva police station on night rounds near Narayan Guru co-operative society at Kodikal Urwa was allegedly attacked after attempting to stop a two-wheeler for inspection on Sunday. According to police, the two people on the vehicle initially drove away rashly to evade checking. However, they later returned to the spot and allegedly assaulted the constable, leaving him with minor injuries. A case has been registered under sections 121(1), 109, 132 and 3(5) of the BNS. CCTV footage of the incident has gone viral.
