Ahmedabad: Gujarat National Law University (GNLU) signed an MoU with the Indian Navy at the Southern Naval Command, Kochi to strengthen academic, research, and training collaboration in International Maritime Law, Law of the Sea, and allied legal disciplines. ‘The MoU envisages short and long duration courses, online maritime law programmes, residential research programmes, and other mutually agreed training initiatives for Indian Navy officers,’ a release by GNLU states. Officials added that in the past five years, GNLU has carried out several capacity-building programmes for Indian Navy officers in maritime law and Law of the Sea.
