Paper leaks have occurred multiple times and affected lakhs of students, Singh said, adding that complaints related these incidents are repeatedly surfacing from BJP-ruled states.
Singh said he had earlier suggested measures for transparency as chairman of a parliamentary committee on education, but the National Testing Agency (NTA) did not accept them.
He alleged Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan rejected the parliamentary committee’s recommendations citing the presence of opposition members in it.
“If the prime minister respects parliamentary committees, then Dharmendra Pradhan should be removed,” Singh said. The National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) was conducted across 551 Indian cities and at 14 overseas centres, with nearly 23 lakh candidates having registered for the test.

Singh also attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the austerity measures announced amid the West Asia crisis.
While the PM is asking people not to buy gold, the Union government is purchasing it in large quantities, the former Madhya Pradesh CM claimed.
The government has increased import duty on gold from 6 per cent to 15 per cent, affecting jewellers and artisans dependent on the trade, he added.
Singh said the Centre had not given relief to people when crude prices had fallen.
The Union government collected Rs 45 lakh crore through central excise duty over the last 12 years, he said.
Demonetisation led to closure of small factories and widened the gap between the rich and the poor, he further alleged.
