Gorakhpur: Chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday asked all institutions under Maharana Pratap Shiksha Parishad (MPSP) to create awareness about global challenges, including the ongoing West Asia conflict, and actively promote fuel and energy conservation.Addressing a review meeting of heads of MPSP institutions at Gorakhnath Temple, the chief minister said following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s appeal for fuel conservation and reduction in foreign exchange expenditure was a national responsibility in the present global scenario.He urged teachers, staff and students to minimise use of petroleum products and electricity and spread awareness among families and society.“When students become aware, the impact automatically reaches every household,” he said.Yogi also called for continuous training and skill upgrading of teachers and employees through a dedicated platform on the lines of govt’s Karmayogi portal. He stressed adopting modern technology and innovation ininstitutional functioning.The chief minister said every institution should have a clear goal and develop its identity through discipline, punctuality, innovation and healthy competition. He also directed institutions to promote Indian knowledge traditions, maintain clean and disciplined campuses, strengthen libraries and focus on regular career counselling.Yogi asked MPSP institutions to begin preparations for organisation’s centenary celebrations in 2032.
