Ranchi: Directorate of Enforcement has registered a case under PMLA Act in the treasury scam related to illegal withdrawal of salaries, sources said. The ED officials, however, have not confirmed the information. ED investigation would cover the officers who made the illegal withdrawals, it added. It may be stated here that earlier the criminal investigation department had formed a special investigation team (SIT) to investigate treasury scam in Bokaro and Hazaribag districts worth several crores of rupees. The SIT has arrested 13 accused persons in this connection so far.
