Gurgaon: Haryana Board of School Education (HBSE) on Thursday declared the Class 10 results, with Charkhi Dadri emerging as the top-performing district with a pass percentage of 96%, followed by Jind at 94.6%. Nuh recorded the lowest pass percentage at 68.9%, down from last year’s 73.9%.Gurgaon’s performance declined, with the district slipping from 14th position in 2025 to 18th this year. The overall pass percentage dropped from 92.8% last year to 89.4%. “The dip in performance will be analysed and focused academic support and remedial measures will be introduced to improve results in the coming session,” an education department official said.

Ronak from Bhiwani and Khushi from Hisar secured the second position with 498 marks each.In the Gurgaon district, Durvish emerged as the topper with 494 marks, followed by Nicki with 493 marks. Durvish, who studied at Devki Kailash Public School in Pataudi, scored 100 marks each in Mathematics and Physical Education, 99 in Sanskrit, 98 in Social Science, 97 in English and 86 in Hindi.His father, Anil Sharma, is a priest, while his mother, Chetna Sharma, is a homemaker. Durvish said he focused on regular studies and tuition support, especially in subjects where he needed improvement. He has now taken admission in the Commerce stream in Class 11 at Keshav Vidya School in Pataudi and aims to become a chartered accountant.Across Haryana, rural students performed better than urban students, recording a pass percentage of 90.25% against 87.94% in urban areas. Private schools recorded a pass percentage of 92.45%, against 89.4% in govt schools.In the Haryana Open School Class 10 fresh category, 5,772 candidates appeared and 645 passed, resulting in a pass percentage of 11.17%. In the re-appear category, 1,885 out of 3,957 candidates passed, taking the overall pass percentage to 47.64%.
