Ahmedabad: A 50-year-old man was killed and a 40-year-old man grievously injured in a road accident in Hatkeshwar after an allegedly drunk driver rammed his car into a motorcycle.According to the complaint registered on Thursday with I Division traffic police, the crash occurred around 12.45am on Jogeshwari Road, near Jivan Jyot Nagar gate, in Hatkeshwar. The complaint was registered by Nikunj Vaghela, the son of the deceased Babu.The complainant stated that the victims were on a motorcycle when a car, allegedly being driven at high speed and in a rash manner, hit them.Babu suffered severe head, hand and leg injuries and was taken to LG Hospital, where he died during treatment. The pillion rider, Lala Pagi, suffered serious injuries to his shoulder and head and was under treatment.Rahul Sumera, the car driver, has been caught. Witnesses told police that Sumera appeared inebriated at the time of the accident.
