Prayagraj: A 17-year-old boy was taken into custody by police on Thursday on the charges of killing his minor girl-friend.The victim’s mother submitted an application with Sarayinayat police station, on April 21, accusing the boy of luring away her 17-year-old daughter. An FIR was registered and two police teams were formed to crack the case. On Thursday, the girl’s body was found.DCP (Ganga Nagar) Kuldeep Singh told TOI that, “On Thursday, police found the girl’s body near Harakpur Wardha canal road in Mauaima area after arresting the accused.”The accused confessed to police that he befriended with girl through social media and had an affair with her for past four months. He said that he called her on April 20. After picking up her from the village, he took the girl to the canal road and killed her with a sharp edge weapon, he told the police. He then hid the body into shrubs.The accused told the police that she was pressuring to marry him but he was not ready so he killed her.
