Lucknow: A 40-year-old woman accused her husband of abandoning her and secretly marrying another woman. She also alleged that he took away household belongings and threatened to kill her if she pursued legal action.In her complaint, the woman, a resident of Para, alleged that her husband sent her to her parental home on Dec 9 last year on the pretext that he was travelling for work. However, during Holi, when he neither came to take her back nor maintained proper communication, she returned to Lucknow on March 6.Upon reaching the house, she allegedly discovered that her husband vacated the flat and took away all the household belongings soon after sending her away.The woman further alleged that a relative later informed her that her husband was seen with another woman in a WhatsApp status photograph. She accused him of solemnising a second marriage with a woman associated with a local business.SHO Para, Suresh Singh, said that an FIR under charges of bigamy and other offences was registered against the man, and a probe is underway.
