Gurgaon: Four employees were arrested for allegedly assaulting a lawyer and vandalising his car at Ghamroj Toll Plaza on Monday following a dispute over FASTag scanning.Advocate Ravindra, who works at the Sohna Court Complex, has filed a case against the employees at Bhondsi police station. He said after his FASTag failed to scan at the booth, he requested an employee to manually scan it. The employee allegedly refused and used abusive language. He told the advocate to “stand here all day”. The complainant was not allowed to leave.Ravindra then moved his car to another lane, but the situation escalated as toll employees continued to misbehave. When he warned them about calling the police, the staff abused him even more.The situation escalated when an employee jumped out of the booth window, approached his vehicle and tried to pull down the car window. Another employee allegedly struck the window, shattering it, and physically assaulted the advocate. They tore his clothes during the scuffle.Once Ravindra informed his colleagues, several lawyers from Sohna bar association reached the spot. Police personnel from Bhondsi police station also arrived and brought the situation under control. The lawyers warned the toll plaza employees of staging a protest at the toll, but police intervened and controlled the situation.
