Mysuru: A husband who has been doubting the fidelity of his wife allegedly attacked her with a sickle, leading to her death on the spot, during the pre-dawn hours on Thursday. NR police have arrested Mahesh on charges of killing his wife Pushpa, 24, at the couple’s Old Kesare residence. A senior officer said that the couple tied the knot a year and a half ago, and have not been in good terms since their marriage. The husband worked in a bar while the wife worked in a beauty parlour. Mahesh frequently doubted her for coming home late and quarrelled with her. Mahesh got into an argument with his wife over sambar while having dinner, late on Wednesday. They fought till 11pm and retired for the day. Early on Thursday, around 4 am, Pushpa started to fight again. In a fit of rage, Mahesh is said to have attacked her with a sickle, which led to the murder, said the police. Police said she died on the spot.
