Rajkot: A school van carrying several girl students was rammed from behind by a city bus on Wednesday morning at Moti Tanki Chowk in Rajkot. The accident, captured on CCTV cameras, reportedly left one student with minor injuries.After the collision, Pradyuman Nagar police reached the spot. CCTV footage that later circulated on social media shows the school van going from Moti Tanki Chowk towards Kotak School, while the city bus was going from Limda Chowk towards Moti Tanki Chowk. The footage shows the city bus hitting the school van from the rear as both vehicles converged at the junction. Due to the impact and the presence of the road divider, the van toppled onto its side. While the footage suggests that the van driver may have been speeding, the bus driver also failed to stop in time, leading to the crash. More than eight students were in the van at the time. Both vehicles were damaged, but no serious injuries were reported among the students. Police said an official complaint is yet to be registered.
