Surat: The Varachha police booked a 20-year-old man for abetment of suicide after a woman with whom he was in a live-in relationship allegedly died by suicide on Wednesday.According to police, the victim, Vaishali, had entered into a live-in relationship with the Dongar Patil, and the two had been living together for the past year.Police said Patil frequently harassed Vaishali as he suspected that she was having an affair with someone else. Due to the harassment and arguments, Vaishali was reportedly distressed and she hanged herself.Following a complaint filed by Vaishali’s cousin, Shivaji Mali, the police registered a case of abetment of suicide against Patil.
