Marc Jacobs tapped Rachel Sennott to write and star in its Pre-Fall 2026 campaign, a scripted micro-drama called “The Scene.” This is the first installment of Question Marc, an episodic, social-first series blending fashion, film and entertainment. “The Scene” follows Sennott through a chaotic day on her way to securing an invitation to “The Gala,” with the brand’s Scene Bag appearing throughout. Lululemon Names New CEO
Lululemon Athletica Inc. has named Heidi O’Neill as its next CEO, effective Sept. 8. O’Neill previously spent 27 years at Nike, where she held various leadership roles. She succeeds Calvin McDonald, who exited as CEO earlier this year. “What drew me to this role — and what I believe is Lululemon’s greatest opportunity — is the intersection of extraordinary product, design and community,” O’Neill wrote in a company-wide email to employees. {WWD/paywalled}
Condé United Addresses the Latest Round of Layoffs
Condé United and The NewsGuild of New York posted a statement on Instagram addressing the latest round of layoffs at Condé Nast, which saw 16 members across Self, Glamour and CNE lose their positions. “We see layoffs happening over and over and disproportionately affecting our members of color as well as queer and trans members,” the union wrote. “These persistent cycles of layoffs harm our ability to cover issues critical to our readers, and as a result, Condé is platforming more homogenous voices.” {Instagram}
EssilorLuxottica Acquires Faro, Sees Revenue Rise 10.8% in Q1 2026
EssilorLuxottica has acquired Faro, an Italian company specializing in CNC machinery for milling and diamond cutting to serve the jewelry and eyewear industries. This acquisition adds critical technological capabilities to EssilorLuxottica and enables Faro to accelerate its long-term growth. EssilorLuxottica also posted its Q1 2026 results, which showed a 10.8% increase in group revenue to €7.13 billion ($8.34 billion). L’Oréal Reports 3.6% Sales Bump in Q1 2026
In its Q1 2026 sales report released on Wednesday, L’Oréal posted a 3.6% increase in sales to €12.15 billion ($14.22 billion). L’Oréal’s adjusted like-for-like growth was up 6.7%. The company saw growth in all regions, with Europe leading the charge through sales of €4.4 billion ($5.15 billion). {L’Oréal}
