Chennai: Nine people, including a juvenile, have been arrested in connection with a double murder reported near Pallavaram on Monday morning. Police said the killings were the result of previous enmity between two groups. The arrested have been identified as Srihari, 22, Prasad, 20, Saran, 25, Vijay, 20, Abinash, 20, Bhuvanesh, 25, Surya, 23, and two 17-year-old juveniles. On Monday, N Arumugam, 20, and his associate Satheesh, 18, were found murdered inside their house in Tirusulam, when police formed special teams to nab the accused. Investigations revealed Arumugham and his friends had damaged property at Deepak’s house last week, triggering tensions between the two groups. Following Deepak’s complaint, police arrested four people. However, Arumugam absconded. Police said Deepak murdered him and his associate Satheesh on Monday. Two key suspects, including Deepak, are absconding. TNN
