Kanpur: Police raided a hotel on Kanpur-Etawah highway on Saturday night over suspicions of flesh trade and detained eight people, including hotel manager and two women from Kolkata. The authorities also confiscated the hotel documents.Earlier, some men made inappropriate comments on local women after which the police was alerted. On the arrival of the police, two men tried to escape but were caught and beaten by locals.CO City Abhay Narayan Rai arrived at the scene and detained eight people. “Investigations are ongoing,” said the CO. The hotel’s standards and licences are being thoroughly examined, and further legal action will be taken accordingly, the CO stated further.
