Chennai: Police arrested a 73-year-old tailor on Thursday for the sexual abuse of two sisters, aged 10 and eight, at his shop in North Chennai. The accused was booked under Sections 9(m) r/w 10 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (Pocso) Act.
According to the complaint, the accused touched both girls inappropriately and threatened them not to disclose the incident to anyone. The children,however, informed their mother and she lodged a complaint at the MKB Nagar All Women Police Station. On Thursday, the police apprehended the accused and he was remanded in judicial custody. TNN
