Chandrapur: Acting on specific intelligence, the Local Crime Branch of Chandrapur police intercepted two trucks on Mul Road and rescued 63 cattle being transported illegally. Police also seized assets worth 58.2 lakh and arrested five individuals, officials said on Tuesday.The operation was conducted near the MEL checkpoint as part of a coordinated patrol launched under the direction of the Superintendent of Police to curb illegal activities, including cattle smuggling, gambling, and property-related offences. According to police, the vehicles were stopped following a tip-off, which led to the detection of the livestock. In all, 11 accused have been booked by Ramnagar police.
