Chintamani: Police have registered a case against six individuals for allegedly obstructing a woman sub-inspector, SI Nagamma, during a late-night patrol Saturday.According to police, SI Nagamma noticed a hotel operating past midnight near a petrol bunk at Channasandra on the Chintamani–Bengaluru road. Following her instructions, the police jeep driver, Venugopal, asked the owner to close the establishment. While the owner was complying, a group of customers intervened, questioned the action, and allegedly attempted to assault the driver.As tensions rose, SI Nagamma tried to record the incident on her mobile phone. The group reportedly pushed her and prevented her from filming, while also attempting to record the situation themselves. Passersby later intervened and calmed both sides, avoiding further escalation.Based on her complaint, Chintamani Rural Police have booked six persons for obstructing a public servant.
