Amravati: A court in Amravati remanded all five accused of raping a woman to police custody till April 2. The heinous incident happened on Chandur Railway Road on Saturday evening. Cops arrested the five accused within hours of the incident.An 18-year-old college student and her friend were returning home on a two-wheeler when the five spotted them. The accused beat up the man while demanding money. One of the accused dragged the woman inside roadside bushes and raped her. The accused threatened to kill the girl and her friend if they informed anyone about the incident. After reaching Amravati, the girl visited a hospital, and cops were informed about the crime. Frezarpura police arrested the five accused in the early hours on Sunday.
