Palanpur: Four men have been arrested after the sensational murder in Patan on March 12, where a man was shot dead in the busy Nilam Cinema area of the city. Those arrested include the prime accused, Zahir alias Khokra.Yusuf Khan, 50, was driving his white Swift car through the Bharbazar area near Nilam Cinema in the heart of Patan town when assailants shot him twice. Khan, who is said to be a buffalo trader, died on the spot.SP V K Nayi formed six police teams to catch the killers. Four suspects were later apprehended, based on a tip-off, while travelling in a car. Two accomplices are yet to be caught. Police are yet to unravel the full conspiracy behind the murder. On interrogating Zahir — said to be the brain behind the conspiracy — it emerged that the firearm used in the killing had been handed over to one Moshin alias Chatni Hyderkhan Pathan. The identity of the original owner of the weapon is yet to be established. Further inquiries are ongoing.
