Noida: Chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday inaugurated KDSG Super-Speciality Hospital in Greater Noida’s Sector 10, a 300-bed tertiary-care facility founded by former cricketer Kapil Dev and businessman Sunil Kumar Gupta.At the inauguration, Adityanath said UP had expanded its health infrastructure in recent years and linked the push to wider access for patients.“Uttar Pradesh has undergone a significant transformation. There was a time when every district was known for mafia. But today, we are moving towards one district, one medical college,” he said.The CM added that access to healthcare was improving through public schemes as well. “Healthcare access is expanding rapidly. Initiatives like Ayushman health card, which now covers about 5.6 crore people, are ensuring that medical support reaches the poor without discrimination.”Adityanath also underlined the employment impact of the project. “The hospital has 300 beds for patients, but it will also generate around 1,000 jobs locally,” he said, adding that the govt would continue to support investors and groups investing in the state, particularly in sectors such as healthcare.Kapil said the hospital was conceived to deliver patient-first care in the region. “KDSG was built on the belief that quality healthcare must be honest, affordable and centred on the patient. Greater Noida needed an institution built on those values. We are pleased to open it today,” he said.The facility includes modular operation theatres, multi-speciality ICUs, a catheterisation laboratory, an emergency and trauma centre, and diagnostics spanning radiology, pathology and nuclear medicine. It will offer services in cardiology, oncology, neurology and neurosurgery, orthopaedics and joint replacement, gastroenterology, pulmonology, nephrology, paediatrics and critical care.Hospital officials said the clinical model was organised around dedicated centres for cardiology, oncology, orthopaedics and critical care medicine, bringing multidisciplinary teams and specialised treatment facilities under one roof.
