Kota: Three members of a family were killed and one injured after a truck hit the motorcycle in which they were riding under Udhyog Nagar police station in Kota Sunday.The deceased have been identified as Karishan Kahar (32), his daughter Yashashvi (3), son Parth (four months). His wife Jyoti has been critically injured in the accident. All are residents of Ranpur police station area in Kota city.The mishap occurred at around 2.30pm when the couple, along with their two children, were going on a bike to attend a family function in Kanswa area, circle inspector at Udhyog Nagar police station Jintendra Singh said.Singh said that a speeding truck hit the bike from behind and ran over the bike-borne persons, killing the two children on the spot. The man succumbed to injuries soon after he was rushed to the hospital in the city. Jyoti sustained critical injuries in the mishap and is under treatment at the hospital. The bodies were placed in the mortuary of the hospital for post-mortem, he said.The truck driver fled after the mishap, however, the truck has been seized.
