Dhanbad: Nirsa police arrested three cybercriminals near the Jharkhand-West Bengal border in Kalubathan under Nirsa police station area. The accused were nabbed while attempting to withdraw money fraudulently from a bank account. According to police, vehicle checking was intensified in the area based on specific inputs. During the operation, a suspicious bike was intercepted, and the riders were detained for questioning. The arrested have been identified as Ajay Ravidas (25), Kanhai Ravidas (26), and Vishal Ravidas (30), all residents of Barmuri in Nirsa. Police recovered several incriminating items from their possession, including ATM cards, three mobile phones, and a motorcycle. During interrogation, the trio admitted to their involvement in cyber fraud and revealed the name of an accomplice following which police raided and nabbed him. SP Rural Kapil Chaudhary, on Tuesday, said, “Police acted promptly and apprehended the accused. A case has been registered under relevant sections of the BNS at Nirsa police station. Efforts are on to trace their past record and nab the other accused.”
