HYDERABAD: A 20-year-old student has been nabbed for allegedly raping his former girlfriend, a fellow student, in Bachupally. He and his friend were also booked for harassing the survivor using the couple’s private photos.The girl lodged a complaint against her former boyfriend on Saturday.
Bachupally police said both the girl and her former boyfriend were students of a private college. They were in a live-in relationship and rented a house, police added. The complainant alleged that her partner sexually violated her by force and promised to marry her. He also filmed the offence, police stated.The issue was initially raised by her at the college, since they were students of the same institute. The college’s internal sexual harassment committee, after conducting an initial inquiry, escalated the issue to police, who in turn took the complaint from the woman.The accused was taken into custody and was questioned by police.
