Chatra: Two men were killed in a road accident in Chatra district on Monday night. The deceased were identified as Pankaj (27) and his brother-in-law Ranjan Bharti (22). Both were riding a bike near Gejna More under Hunterganj police station limits when they were hit by an unidentifiable vehicle, leading to their deaths on the spot. Police on Tuesday said Pankaj was a resident of Humajang panchayat in Pratappur block while Bharti was a resident of Imamganj police station limits in Bihar. Pankaj had got married to Ranjan’s sister nine months ago. The accident took place around 10 pm, locals informed the police. Hunterganj police station officer-in-charge Prabhat Kumar said the bodies were handed over to the family members on Tuesday after postmortem examination. “They were returning from a wedding,” Kumar added.
