Daltonganj: The circle officers of Naudeeha Bazar and Pipra sustained injuries after the vehicle they were travelling collided with a tipper truck on NH-139 on Monday. The COs were identified as Sanjay Kumar Singh (Naudeeha Bazar) and Jitender Kumar (Pipra). The driver of the vehicle also sustained injuries, said local police. Sources said the mishap occurred because of one of the two vehicles was taking the wrong side. Both were headed to Daltonganj to take part in a meeting. Dr Rajesh Agrawal said, the deputy medical superintendent of Chhaterpur sub-divisional hospital, said, “Sanjay received stitches on head and is doing fine. Jitender suffered a fracture on his left wrist.”The driver Ravinder Prasad Thakur sustained abdominal injury. Officer in charge of the Chhaterpur police station Prashant Prasad said, “Police have seized the tipper truck but the driver fled from the scene.”
