HASSAN: Two people from Bengaluru died in a road accident on NH 75 in Sakleshpura on Monday. Abhishek and Sharath died on the spot as the car in which they were travelling hit a divider. However, two others, Dhananjay and Sandeep, sustained injuries and are undergoing treatment in a hospital, police stated.According to Sakleshpura Rural Police, all four persons were friends and were travelling to Dharmasthala from Bengaluru. The driver lost control of the vehicle and hit the metal divider. Two persons died on the spot.According to the villagers, heavy rainfall and incomplete road works resulted in the accident. The NH has witnessed landslides in several places, and it has become a nightmare for the travellers. Thousands of vehicles commute on the stretch, but the road works that commenced several years ago are yet to be completed.
