Kolkata: Although Uber Shuttle bus services have come to an end, there seems to be some respite for 30,000 daily commuters. Sources said two new aggregators will begin operations from next week. Additionally, Kolkata traffic police said they will allow up to 14-seater SUVs, used for private shuttle services from points like Behala Chowrasta, Shibpur and Santoshpur to Sector V, to take both AJC Bose Road flyover and Maa. Regulars have drawn up alternative plans. Many said they will be contacting the drivers of these shuttle services directly to ask them if they would take them to New Town and Ecospace. “We can continue services even without the aggregator,” said Saptak Sen of Kamalgazi.“If I can ensure at least 20 passengers for each trip, I can take the daily commuters to their offices,” said Partha Das, a driver from Behala.
