Varanasi: In a significant step towards modernisation, the postal department launched N-Gen Post Office (Next Generation Post Office) on the campus of Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapeeth. The N-Gen Post Office blends conventional postal services with a contemporary environment tailored for students. The facility offers a wide range of services , including digital postal services, speed post, parcel handling, e-commerce logistics, banking, and India Post Payments Bank services under one roof. In addition, it has been designed as a student-friendly hub with amenities like mini library, Wi-Fi access, television, indoor games such as chess and carrom, and even a cafe-style setup with tea and coffee. Highlighting its broader role, Mishra said the space is intended not just for postal needs but also as a collaborative zone where students can connect, innovate and work on start-up ideas. She added that India Post, with its vast logistics network, can support young entrepreneurs in scaling their ventures nationally and globally. Welcoming the initiative, Prof Tyagi said the establishment of the first N-Gen Post Office at the university is a matter of pride and will strengthen the connection between youth and the postal system while promoting innovation and convenience.
