Patna: BJP state president Sanjay Saraogi on Tuesday said the 12 years of PM Narendra Modi’s tenure at the Centre have been marked by the empowerment of the poor, farmers, youth and women, and have laid a strong foundation for a ‘Viksit Bharat’ by 2047.Congratulating Modi on completing 12 years as Prime Minister, Saraogi said the PM has set a new record for the longest tenure by an elected Prime Minister. He noted that Modi has completed 4,398 days in office, surpassing Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru’s continuous tenure of 4,397 days.Saraogi said Bihar has witnessed fresh momentum in development under Modi’s leadership. He claimed the Centre has accorded special priority to the state in sectors such as national highways, bridges, railway projects, airports, education, healthcare and digital infrastructure.He added that the double-engine govt at the Centre and in Bihar has accelerated development in roads, electricity, water supply, education, health and investment.Former health minister Mangal Pandey also extended his greetings and praised Modi’s leadership.“The journey from 2014 to 2026 represents a golden chapter in India’s history. By adhering to the policy of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas’, PM Modi has steered the country in a new direction. Under his able leadership, significant momentum has been gained in areas such as the welfare of the poor, the prosperity of farmers, women empowerment, opportunities for the youth, the development of healthcare facilities, digital transformation, and infrastructure,” Pandey said.Referring to Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya’s principle of ‘Antyodaya’, Saraogi said the Modi govt has worked to extend the benefits of development to the most marginalised sections of society through housing, healthcare, cooking gas and food security schemes.“Today, India has emerged as a global hub for innovation, technology, and entrepreneurship,” Saraogi said.
